An issue was identified with one of our switches failing to communicate with the upstream peer, causing a BGP outage.
Engineers were sent on site but the issue was not resolved. Further investigations upstream followed, leading to a discovery that a connection was not being made due to RSTP.
We will make changes to help prevent this from occurring again.
